Homemade Taco Seasoning

In the fall Chris and I decided to cut back on all of the salt in our life.  One thing that has a tremendous amount of salt is pre-made spice mixes.  So I made my own taco seasoning.  After eating salt free tacos for months, I added a bit of salt back to the spice mix.  There is a HUGE difference between no salt and a little salt.

Ingredients
1/4 Cup Chili Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp Oregano
2 tsp Paprika
2 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Salt
1 Tbl + 1 tsp Black Pepper

Mix them all together and put them in a jar or empty spice holder.

This makes about a cup of spice.  I like to make mine in bulk so I don't have to make it constantly.
